About Archi Build
Archi Build Ltd is located in beautiful Wanaka. We specialise in building architectural residential projects.
The construction industry is forever evolving which is very exciting and challenging. We don’t have a set ‘style’ of building and are open to working with clients and architects on their projects, whatever form and materials it takes.

At Archi Build our team all have many years of experience and knowledge. We strive for quality in every aspect of the build, with customer service being of the upmost importance. We ensure that the building process is an enjoyable journey for every client.

We work with you from the initial planning stage to completion. We are happy to work from existing plans or can even help you find an architect to start the journey.

Management is a very important part of the process, and management of the lines of communication. Communication between architects, clients, manager and the building team is essential and we like to make it easy, open and honest.

Organisation is a skill we pride ourselves on. Being organised from the first engagement to completion is our goal and high on our list of priorities. Organisation helps with decisions, timing and keeping the job on track, on budget and on time. We strive to make the experience special for the client.

At Archi Build we like to have full transparency so clients know where their money goes and the true costs of their project. We can offer various contracts to suit the client’s needs these include but are not limited to; charge up, fixed price (necessary with some banks), project management.
We are very involved with the construction industry and property market. We are continually researching new products, and innovative technology we can consider and introduce to our projects and clients.

Our team is hand selected. We employ experienced and passionate staff who understand what the end goal is. The supplier and subcontractors that we use are the best and we ensure the quality of their work is consistent with ours. It is essential that the Archi Build team and our subcontractors work well together as building amazing homes is very much a team effort.
Health and safety is paramount in ensuring a safe work site, and our team is on board with adhering to the health and safety guidelines. We keep up to date and work with Hazard Co., this means our sub-contractors, clients and the Archi Build team all have to comply with their system.
Meet Tom Dupont
Tom Dupont is a certified builder with over 13 year’s experience in the construction industry. He is hard working, organised, honest, possesses a strong passion for building and architecture and open minded to trying new forms of construction.
Tom completed his apprenticeship in Timaru under the watchful eye of Ranger Construction. This put him is good stead to begin his career as a skilled builder. He started out in commercial construction in the South Island, including jobs like the Fontera factory in Timaru and Balclutha, Geraldine Primary School hall and classrooms, Timaru Boys High School gymnasiam, class rooms and boarding hostel.

Tom then went to London where he spent 5 years in the building industry, first working as a joiner on the One Hyde Park London luxury apartments and then as a foreman for full house renovations and basement developments in Chelsea. He saw his time in London as an opportunity to learn new methods of construction, and handle different materials. Basement developments required a lot of planning and management of manual labour to excavate levels by hand, and underpin structural walls and steel beams for supporting the existing home.
One Hyde Park is one of the most prestigious apartment blocks in the world. The quality of workmanship required when executing this job was absolute perfection as the client would accept nothing less. The materials being handled like marble and Portuguese joinery had to be done with absolute care and precision. Tom is proud to have worked on this project and witness superior architecture, craftsmanship and luxurious materials.

From 2012 Tom has been based in Wanaka contracting to an award winning building company as a foreman and project manager on architectural residential projects. He loves living in Wanaka and the lifestyle that comes with it. He has seen the growth of Central Otago over the past few years and with it the architecture and construction being introduced to a town that was once upon a time dominated by the ‘kiwi bach’.

During this time he has also worked on and completed personal residential projects and spec houses. He has formed great bonds with local architects, sub-contractors and industry professionals.
With all Tom’s experience, enthusiasm and integrity he is excited about the future of Archi Build Ltd. and the clients he will be introduced to and work with.
